WWMG Audiology's Hearing Aid Dispensing Program

There is a mountain of information regarding hearing aids out there. If you suspect, or have been told that you should consider using hearing aids, rest assured that we are here to help you navigate the waters of hearing aid selection, fitting, orientation, and adaptation, as you make your way to better hearing!
Here is what you can expect when you come to our office about your hearing problems:
Hearing Aid Consultation
Our Audiologists offer free Hearing Aid Consultations. This is a one-hour appointment (after you've had a recent hearing test) to discuss your particular hearing needs with our Audiologist. You will receive a lot of education about hearing aids, with no obligation to place an order. You will learn about different styles of hearing aids, current amplification technology features, and costs. Our Audiologist will work with you to design a program that is appropriate for your hearing loss, your lifestyle, your preferences, and your budget. You will never be pushed toward a hearing aid order, if you're not ready. We encourage you to being a spouse or close friend, because your hearing loss affects all the people with whom you communicate.
Hearing Aid Order
You will work with our Audiologist to select a style and technology level of hearing aids that is most appropriate for you. Impressions are made of your ears, and our office will contact you in about one to three weeks to schedule your hearing aid fitting.
Hearing Aid Fitting
At this appointment we will program your hearing aids, and use a computer to measure the amplified sound in your ear canals to ensure that the amount and pattern of amplification is appropriate for your hearing loss, especially so you can hear speech better. The Audiologist will show you how to operate your new hearing aids, and how to maintain them so that you will be comfortable using them every day at home.
Follow-Up Visits
You will be scheduled for your first follow-up visit approximately one week after your hearing aid fitting. This is to ensure that you are comfortable with your new hearing instruments. Minor adjustments may be made at this time. You will have a second follow-up visit in another two weeks to check on how you're benefiting in your life from the amplification. There is never a charge for your follow-up visits. And, if you need more than two visits to get things right, that's just fine.
Thirty-Day Trial Period
We offer a very flexible trial period which is at least thirty days, and can be adjusted to 60 or even 90 days for people who might need extra time to decide if the hearing aids are beneficial and satisfactory. During the trial period, you can exchange for different hearing aids if necessary, or return your hearing aids (a small fee applies) if you decide you won't use them.
